How does a witch stay safe if a killer can get through her protection spells?

Witches like Ruby and Courtney can take care of themselves. So when Courtney is murdered, Ruby’s world crashes to a halt. The only thing keeping her grounded is the return of Courtney’s brother, Cooper. He seeks revenge, but Ruby wants to help other witches stay alive. To do that, she’ll have to reunite with her old coven’s High Priest, who also happens to be her cheating ex-boyfriend.

If that wasn’t awkward enough, when the killer gets too close, Cooper temporarily moves into Ruby’s place while a police officer tails her every move. Cooper’s presence distracts Ruby as they fight their desire against their need to stay safe. Then Courtney begins to haunt Ruby’s dreams and secrets are spilled, things from Cooper’s past that could get them both killed. The killer continues to stalk Ruby and the more she discovers, the more she fears she won’t be able to keep her heart in her chest.

Las brujas como Ruby y Courtney pueden encargarse de sí mismas. Así que cuando Courtney es asesinada, el mundo de Ruby se desmorona. La única cosa que la mantiene cuerda es el regreso del hermano de Courtney, Cooper. Él busca venganza, pero Ruby quiere ayudar a las otras brujas a seguir vivas. Para hacer eso, deberá volver a reunirse con el Gran Sacerdote de su antiguo aquelarre, quien resulta ser su infiel ex-novio.

Medved, a Russian thug and powerful Shapeshifter, is intent on outing the gifted world and will stop at nothing to succeed.

In order to survive, Lucy and her friends must travel to another show, the Grayson Circus, for help. The uneasy alliance with owner Albert Grayson comes with potential new friends and dark secrets about their competition, including a troublemaker named Mel and an old flame of Lucy’s father. Lucy must also contend with her feelings about Keegan and Gabriel, as well as learn how to contain her rampant emotions or risk setting the entire place ablaze.

Will Lucy be able to save the Donovan Circus again? Or will Medved and his men slaughter everyone in their path on the way to gifted domination?

I don´t know if you feel the same way I do, but recently I have stopped reading because I think that a lot of books are very very similar. I don´t find any different book, or a book that keeps me interested, and it very frustrating... Due to this, I read less, or I´m less interested in finding new books, because I find all the books almost identical. Do you feel the same?

But I had promised to Liz Long that I would read her books, so, on Thuesday, bored, I decided to give the book a chance.

No sé si a vosotros os pasa lo mismo, pero últimamente tengo menos ganas de leer porque, por alguna razón, todos los libros me parecen iguales. No encuentro ninguno que me parezca diferente o que me enganche, y es un poco frustrante... Encima, por esa misma razón, leo cada vez menos o estoy cada vez menos interesada en buscar libros nuevos, ya que todos me parecen parecidos a no-sé-que-libro. ¿Os pasa lo mismo?

Pero le había prometido a la escritora de este libro que iba a leer su novela, por lo que, el jueves, aburrida, decidí darle una oportunidad.
